New 5 Star Care Home for Tyne Valley

New Care Home in Stocksfield plans to start work immediately after being given the go-ahead.
A new nursing and residential care home in Stocksfield has been given the green light by Northumberland County Council Planning Committee. Construction is expected to start imminently on what will be one of the new style, high specification, 5 Star homes being developed by the Executive Care Group in association with NorthStar Capital Projects Limited.
The scheme is anticipated to take 12 months to complete and will be available for occupation in late 2010. The site occupies and area of land where buildings had fallen into disrepair at the edge of the settlement of Mickley Square, just outside of Stocksfield with views over the Tyne Valley.
Northstar's Director of Development, Danny Sharpe said "we are delighted the planning committee and the Council's housing department have recognised the demand in this part of the Tyne Valley for a high quality nursing care home. This is only one of a number of homes we are developing across the UK: we are targeting areas of strong demographic demand with good transport links and pleasant surroundings and this site clearly fits the bill."
