Sovereign Lodge was built in 1998 and is situated in the village of Westerhope, just outside of Newcastle, one mile from the A1. It is a spacious, first-class, purpose-built Care Home in its own pleasant grounds, surrounded on three sides by trees. It is close to local housing, shops and amenities, and community support available in the village.
The Care home is mainly on one level and is extremely spacious with large ensuite rooms. There is a superb "chattery" where the residents participate in many activities. There is also a hairdressing salon with a visiting hairdresser. The Home is decorated and furnished to a high standard and has 2 conservatory areas to relax in and watch the many visitors come and go.
